Free Hit Rule |
In the 2009
rulebook, the free hit rule has been changed. It now
incorporates two variations on the old rule: the option to
self-pass and the restriction when hitting the ball directly
into the circle from the attacking 23 metre area. For a
full explanation please click
here. |

New Season |
The new season gets underway this coming
Saturday 12th September. There is a full fixture programme
for the Bangor sides. Full details of the fixtures and
selection notes are contained in our members only forum.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing problems with the pitch at
Ballykillaire, all teams will start the season with an away
game. |

Ballykillaire on Monday nights, starting at 7.30pm. Please
try and make an effort to attend and keep numbers high through

IRISH JUNIOR CUP |
Bangor seconds won a tightly contested
Irish Junior Cup tie against Raphoe last Saturday. There
was nothing between the two teams in normal or extra time,
Bangor eventually prevailing on penalty flicks. For a full
match report, click
here. Thanks to all who turned up to support the team
from the sidelines. |

LAST MAN STANDING - FINAL RESULTS |
Well after 6 weeks the game is over and
all 77 entrants have been knocked out....but how many of those
77 players can blame Mark Hughes' Manchester City? I
wouldn't like to count. The final 2, Mark Lappin and David
Ritchie, also came unstuck at the weekend thanks to the draw at
Eastlands between City and Hull, but both are probably not
complaining......they have just scooped £150.00 each.
Congratulations to both, their winnings are in the post. A big
thank you to all club members and their guests who entered the
competition, your support is much appreciated. And watch this
space for details of a new game starting in the New Year."
