Junior League One : Lisnagarvey 7 v 1 Bangor

SECONDS ROCKY START CONTINUES

Bangor's tough opening start to the season continues and the seasiders were optimistic and started well againt a strong Garvey side. It was Bangor who opened the scoreline when a short corner was awarded and McNaught struck the ball cleanly home. Bangor had an excellent chance to double their lead when an invigorated Poole received the  ball at the top of the circle only to shoot just wide. Unfortunately their lead was short lived when garvey scored a weak opener and this was followed shortly after by a further two. So at half time the seasiders were disappointed to be 3-1down. Although there was good effort all round with good work from Boyd and Trimble Bangor never managed to regain the upper hand despite the reintroduction of Gareth Hamill to the squad. Garvey put 4 good goals away on the second half leaving the scoreline 7-1 at the finish.
Man of the match - Allen Irwin
