Cliftonville 1 v 8 Bangor

The “Mighty Fifths” continued their search for promotion with an 8-1 victory over Cliftonville Seconds on Friday night.  In what was a vicious match, with three yellow cards being shown, two to Bangor with Garland and Stubbings the recipients, Bangor mostly kept their cool to outclass their opponents.  Paul Scott grabbed a hat-trick in his man of the match performance, and was simply outstanding.  Warren Reid also got two goals to add to his tally for the season.  Simon Murray, Garland and Conor Savage, who scored the Fifths 80th goal of the season, were also on the score sheet.

With the cup on the agenda this weekend Bangor face a tricky tie away to Annadale Fifths, but that will not faze them as they know that on their day they can beat anyone.
