Bangor regained their composure and continued to apply pressure on the home side's backline. McClune worked tirelessly in the right side of midfield and Bangor were soon rewarded with a short corner, with Andrew Gowdy stepping forward to convert with a well-placed drag flick.
Bangor continued to press forward and another short corner was converted when Gareth Stranaghan finished a well-rehearsed routine, making it 3-1.
Bangor looked to be in a strong position going into half-time before captian Scales was shown a yellow card - a harsh decision in the eyes of both teams.
With Bangor reduced to 10 men, Lisnagarvey capitalised on their numerical advantage and after sustained pressure on the Bangor defence they scored after a series of short corners - Bruce Agnew latching onto a rebound after Phil McCausland had blocked the initial shot.
Lisnagarvey equalised almost immediately after the break through another short corner - a well struck shot which dipped just enough to thump off the backboard.
As the game opened out, Bangor's continued pressure was rewarded with their fourth goal. A free hit from NcNaught picked out Stranaghan who deflected the ball onwards to Ryan Whiteside who dispatched the ball past the Lisnagarvey keeper.
Lisnagarvey fought back and equalised again through another short corner – a rasping shot thumping off the back board.
Just before the final whistle McClune forced two great saves from the home keeper and Bangor had to settle for a draw.
